Counselor III – Recovery

I was born and raised in Southern Arizona and attended Colorado Christian University to obtain my bachelor’s in psychology before continuing to Grand Canyon University for my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have always had a passion to help and educate others as I have made my way through my healing journey. I have worked with a wide range of clients from pre-teens experiencing divorce, loss, anxiety, and ADHD symptoms, to long-time veterans dealing with substance use, depression, PTSD, a lack of purpose, and many in between. My passion in counseling is to educate clients about how the nervous system functions and creates patterns in our lives that keep us feeling stuck. With the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Strengths-based Training, EMDR, boundary work, and somatic grounding tools, clients can become unstuck and experience joy in the journey. I teach my clients to have a toolbox full of useful tools during their recovery process. I have my toolbox and use a wide range of therapeutic modalities tailored to serve and empower each person I have the privilege of working with.
