Trauma Therapist

Sallie brings with her to Cottonwood a passion for helping fellow addicts and those who are looking to flourish after trauma. She looks forward to drawing upon her SE, EMDR, and NARM training as she works in partnership with residents and staff at Cottonwood to achieve their life goals. She served the community of Sierra Tucson, for four years, as a Residential Therapist and Somatic Trauma Therapist. Sallie’s highest honor during her time at Sierra Tucson was serving Veterans and First Responders, individually and as part of a specialty team.

Sallie gained her counseling degree at Purdue University. Her areas of interest include: trauma in veterans and first responders; coaching women through life transitions; eldercare; and addiction. Sallie worked in Indiana before making her way down to sunny AZ. While in Indiana, she focused her energy on addictions in eldercare, Alzheimer’s patients and families, life coaching, and as a massage therapist since 1998. She has provided 30+ speaker engagements of mental health issues. She believes in service work and giving back to the community.  Sallie has served as a Board Member of the YMCA, Rotary International, Junior League, helped develop and served on the board of Alice’s Halfway House.
