Leslie Whitaker

Leslie earned her Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Business Administration and Equestrian Science from William Woods University, located in her home State of Missouri. Prior to 2020, she served on Cottonwood’s management team in various administrative roles. More recently, she moved to the Clinical Department where she puts together individualized daily schedules for each patient and helps patients and their family members in planning their Family Program arrangements. She also has the pleasure of participating in various alumni events and staying in contact with alumni from across the globe.

Leslie started on her own journey in recovery on September 11, 1986. She is passionate about recovery and considers it a privilege to be a part of Cottonwood and see the gift of recovery in patients and their family members. When she isn’t at work she volunteers regularly at the county animal shelter and other non-profit organizations. And when she isn’t working or volunteering, she can often be found happily spinning around the dance floor.
