Dawn LaCarte is a dynamic passionate behavioral healthcare professional with over 25 years in the field. She has served in numerous capacities, in all treatment modalities including senior-level administration, therapist, business development, and interventionist.

An upstate NY native, Dawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University at Albany-SUNY, where she pursued her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Dawn is  an Advanced Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, Clinical Interventionist, Certified Recovery Coach, and Usui Reiki Master Teacher

Partnering with professionals and families to navigate the treatment landscape to connect them with the best level of care suited for the identified patients’ needs is where Dawn feels most rewarded. Dawn finds her work of establishing and maintaining relationships with referring therapists, psychiatrists, and physicians to be an honor and a privilege. She was drawn to Cottonwood based on its stellar reputation as a trusted industry leader in behavioral health, trauma, substance use, and mood disorders.

Outside of her career, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family and Chloe her Cavalier King Charles. As a person in long-term recovery, Dawn enjoys fellowshipping in the recovery community when she isn’t tending to her expansive flower garden.
